Trinity Club
The Bishop Chatard Trinity Club is the original parent organization at BCHS still going strong today. Engagement in the Trinity Club enables parents to stay actively involved in the lives of students and the Bishop Chatard School community. In the process, friendships are made and bonds are created that will last well beyond your children’s high school years!
Simply by being a BCHS parent or guardian, you are already a member!

Updated April 2019
The Indiana State Department of Health has just released Immunization requirements for this school year, 2018-2019. The changes include the following:
- Hepatitis A (2 doses) is now required for grades 4, 6, and 12
- HPV is now recommended for grades 6-12
- Annual Influenza vaccine is recommended for all ages
- Meningococcal Serogroup B (in addition to the already required Meningitis vaccine -2 doses) is recommended for grade 12
Seniors Class of 2020: It is a state requirement to have both the Meningococcal vaccine as well as the booster documentation on file before the start of the 2019-2020 school year. Please provide proof of the immunization to the Bishop Chatard High School Nursing Office. Records may be faxed to 317-251-3648 or emailed to vlorenzano@bishopchatard.org.
Please notify the School nurse if you need clarification or have questions.
General Immunization Information
Indiana high schools are required to keep specific student immunization information on file. Students in grades 6-12 must have appropriate documentation of the following vaccinations: Tetanus, Diphtheria, Acellular Pertussis vaccine (Tdap); Mongolia Conjugate Vaccine (MCV4); two Varicella (chickenpox) vaccinations appropriately spaced per CDC guidelines, documentation of disease history, or laboratory evidence of immunity.
All 12th grade students are required to have two doses of Meningococcal conjugate vaccine by the start of their senior year.
If you are unsure as to whether your student has had the shots required, please contact your family physician. BCHS will contact you if it is determined that the school needs additional information for your student.
If a student has a vaccine exemption, by law, BCHS needs a copy of that exemption.
Asbestos Notification
The Bishop Chatard High School school building is known to have asbestos containing building materials (ACBM) in various locations that are maintained in a safe condition with ongoing surveillance, re-inspections, and an ongoing operations and maintenance program according to law.
The INPEA is anticipating a somewhat contentious 2019 Indiana legislative session that may include challenges to programs important to Catholic schools. Visit www.inpea.org for more information.
